The cute and modern humidifier for children

I designed Neblo with modular water tanks, giving the user the chance to decide how long the humidifier runs. The water tanks can be fully disassembled, making it possible to throw them in the dishwasher or wash them by hand.

Neblo was designed for children. After speaking with parents and children to find opportunities for design, I created activities for my target users to take home to their children. I gained insight into what children and parents need in a humidifier, and my findings concluded that humidifiers grow mold and are difficult to clean, water tanks can be heavy when full, light bothers sleeping children, and it is often difficult to place the humidifier in the room because of lack of outlets.

Neblo uses one simple button with three settings, one of which is a puff of mist. The lights fade after three seconds in order to avoid bothering sleeping children.
